Introduction

The Viba Film studio in Ljubljana is a state institution which operates as the national technical film foundation. It co-operates in the majority of Slovene films in the National Film Programme, and is also involved in co-production and commercial projects.

The seat of Viba Film Ljubljana, or Viba for short, is in the Ljubljana industrial zone at Stegne 5, where facilities for film production, postproduction and the administration of the public institution FS Viba Film share nearly 10,000 m2.

Co-operation with the Film Fund of the Republic of Slovenia (state fund):

The equity of Viba, as a state institution which co-operates in the majority of film projects, is a direct investment by the Republic of Slovenia. Its books are kept on the basis of price lists and lists of film services which the producers define precisely when their projects are accepted into the programme of the Film Fund of the Republic of Slovenia.

On the basis of a similar agreement, Viba also co-operates in student productions at the Academy of Theatre, Film and Television, both during the shooting of films and the postproduction.
